The Riad Journey

G’day I’m Angela, I was born in the UK and grew up in Melbourne, Australia. I was first taken by Marrakech and Morocco in 2012. Since then I have travelled back and forth learning more and enjoying its rich history, culture, people and food. Opening a Riad has been a dream and I am delighted to share with you  this Moroccan adventure and my journey of renovating a home and Riad in this tenth century Medina of Marrakech. I hope you enjoy my tales and look forward to opening the doors to Welcoming you in person to Riad Botanica very soon. xxx

The Medina has a labyrinth of streets and laneways of doors and small windows. From the outside, everything looks very unassuming… until you walk in. After stepping inside the heavy, old doors and walking down a passageway, you are taken away by the peaceful energy of a traditional riad courtyard.
