Zahara, meaning "blossoming flower," perfectly captures the charm of this exquisite two-bedroom apartment. Designed for families or friends, it comfortably accommodates up to four guests—two adults and two children—or even a family of five with an infant in a portacot.
Located on the first floor with a private entrance, the Zahara Deluxe Apartment features a lounge, kitchenette, and a balcony with direct access to the central courtyard, offering tranquil views of the orange tree and pool. The interiors combine modern brightness with deep green velvets, gold accents, and earthy tones, creating an atmosphere of understated luxury.
The standout feature is the Juliet wooden balcony, seamlessly blending contemporary design with the apartment’s original charm, including high ceilings, handcrafted cedar doors, and windows. The Zahara Deluxe Apartment is more than just accommodation—it’s a blossoming retreat that perfectly balances sophistication and warmth.

Two Bedroom Apartment

Decorated in modern earthy tones and rich fabrics boasting the iconic Australian designer Florence Broadhurst featured on the soft furnishings and on the quilts of the Super king bed. The bunk beds are adult size and absolutely luxurious in fact they could be the best night sleep in the whole Riad. They cocoon you in, we are told! The Super King bed is also a super comfortable bed and both rooms share a well appointed en suite boasting modern amenities and generous proportions.

As you walk up the private stairs you are greeted by the lounge room and balcony area with the kitchenette. The unmistakable signature Moroccan arch provides access to the super king-size bedroom with its emerald green velvet cushions that match the furniture in the lounge and curtains.

Sunlit Elegance

The Zahara Bathroom at Riad Botanica radiates understated elegance and warmth. Featuring sunlit yellow tadelakt walls, the room is beautifully complemented by stunning Carrara marble accents in the large, luxurious shower and on the floating vanity. The design is seamlessly tied together with a matching zellige tile floor, adding texture and a touch of artisanal charm. This harmonious blend of spacious design, natural materials, and refined craftsmanship creates a tranquil retreat, exuding both modern sophistication and timeless beauty.

					  I am sure that when you see pictures of the courtyard of this Riad you will fall in love with this location. That's what happened to me. But it is... read more not only the central area with that centenary orange tree the only thing to highlight of this space. 

I have been several times in Marrakech and the area where Riad Botanica is located is perfect. Many of the interesting things that Marrakech has to offer are a stone's throw from this Riad and this is a detail to take into account. 

The decoration of the rooms is a delightful mix of Moroccan and Australian art deco styles. The owners are an Australian-Moroccan couple, Angela and Mohamed. Mohamed will explain with a map the main places to visit if this is your first time in Marrakech and makes sure you will not miss anything during your stay. He helped me by also suggesting me different transportation possibilities for the destinations in Morocco where I wanted to go on this trip. 

The bed in my room was super comfortable and the lamps cast a super special light in the room, making it very cozy. The shower is wonderful, with lots of pressure, just the way I like it, and in the bathroom you have candles and scent sticks. 

Coming back from touring the area, I tried some delicious snacks on the rooftop of the Riad right at the golden hour in Marrakech. The sky suddenly transformed during sunset leaving a very special atmosphere with spectacular colors. The next day, I had breakfast on the same rooftop and it was epic. Don't look any further. If in your search or through recommendations you have stumbled upon Riad Botanica, do yourself a favor and book it, it will not leave you indifferent!

As for the decoration and aesthetics, it is one of those places where you can clearly see that there is a lot of love and attention to detail in every corner of the space. And as for the service, the owners understand perfectly the meaning of the term hospitality elevated to the maximum expression, congratulations for that!

The Riad is absolutely stunning: as you enter you are met by... read more the most gorgeous citrus scent and the mesmerising tones of the gentle music playing in the Riad during the day. The interior design of the Riad is second to none: prepare to be blown away!

I ate dinner on the rooftop on one night of my stay, and aside from the beautiful sunset and the beautiful sounds of the call to prayer, the food was exceptional. Authentic home-cooked Tagines and delicious side dishes and breads made for a meal so wonderful my husband is still talking about it! Special thanks to Chef Fatima for the love and talent she pours into every dish. Also, breakfast deserves a special mention too. 

The location is perfect, a ten minute walk to Le Jardin Secret, rooftop restaurants and cafes, incredible shops and boutiques selling good quality items and also an abundance of traditional Moroccan Hammams. The area is so safe, with locals stopping to help you if you look lost!

The owners Angela and Mo were so kind and helpful to my husband and me, providing recommendations of places to eat and visit, local info on what we should be paying for taxis to our excursions, and generally just checking in on us and making sure we were having a good time. Which we certainly were!

Thank you to the entire Riad Botanica team. We have never been somewhere quite like Riad Botanica - and are already planning our next trip to stay with you!
