I ate dinner on the rooftop on one night of my stay, and aside from the beautiful sunset and the beautiful sounds of the call to prayer, the food was exceptional. Authentic home-cooked Tagines and delicious side dishes and breads made for a meal so wonderful my husband is still talking about it! Special thanks to Chef Fatima for the love and talent she pours into every dish. Also, breakfast deserves a special mention too.

The location is perfect, a ten minute walk to Le Jardin Secret, rooftop restaurants and cafes, incredible shops and boutiques selling good quality items and also an abundance of traditional Moroccan Hammams. The area is so safe, with locals stopping to help you if you look lost!

The owners Angela and Mo were so kind and helpful to my husband and me, providing recommendations of places to eat and visit, local info on what we should be paying for taxis to our excursions, and generally just checking in on us and making sure we were having a good time. Which we certainly were!

Staying at the Riad Botanica, gave me the possibility to meet first hand the Moroccan people, talk to them, discover their culture and all in an almost family atmosphere.

Riad Botanica is an experience for all five senses that makes staying at Riad Botanica a unique stay:

- Smell: From the moment you enter you are overcome by the citrus scent of the orange tree in the middle of the courtyard.
- Sight: Its impeccable decoration makes you want to discover every corner of the Riad: its patio, its swimming pool, its rooftop...
- Touch: The comfort of its beds and cushions, the softness of its sheets and towels, makes you feel at home (or better hehe).
- Taste: The delicious traditional food they prepare makes you discover Morocco in the quietness of your accommodation.
- Hearing: The only sound you hear in the Riad, are the birds fluttering around the courtyard and the chill out music that plays discreetly in the background.

Thanks to the location of the Riad Botanica, you can reach all the sites with a pleasant walk. It is less than 10 minutes walk from Le Jardin Secret, 15 minutes from the Koutoubia Mosque or the Jemaa el-Fna Square and about 20 minutes from the most modern area of Marrakech.

I have been several times in Marrakech and the area where Riad Botanica is located is perfect. Many of the interesting things that Marrakech has to offer are a stone's throw from this Riad and this is a detail to take into account.

The decoration of the rooms is a delightful mix of Moroccan and Australian art deco styles. The owners are an Australian-Moroccan couple, Angela and Mohamed. Mohamed will explain with a map the main places to visit if this is your first time in Marrakech and makes sure you will not miss anything during your stay. He helped me by also suggesting me different transportation possibilities for the destinations in Morocco where I wanted to go on this trip.

The bed in my room was super comfortable and the lamps cast a super special light in the room, making it very cozy. The shower is wonderful, with lots of pressure, just the way I like it, and in the bathroom you have candles and scent sticks.

Coming back from touring the area, I tried some delicious snacks on the rooftop of the Riad right at the golden hour in Marrakech. The sky suddenly transformed during sunset leaving a very special atmosphere with spectacular colors. The next day, I had breakfast on the same rooftop and it was epic. Don't look any further. If in your search or through recommendations you have stumbled upon Riad Botanica, do yourself a favor and book it, it will not leave you indifferent!

As for the decoration and aesthetics, it is one of those places where you can clearly see that there is a lot of love and attention to detail in every corner of the space. And as for the service, the owners understand perfectly the meaning of the term hospitality elevated to the maximum expression, congratulations for that!
