We are incredibly honoured and grateful to be recognised in the Tablet Hotels / Michelin Guide Best New Hotel Designs 2026.

To be included in a selection that celebrates hotels with “personality and emotion at a human scale” means the world to us.

The Tablet team wrote that their awards favour intimate properties where an individual voice has the chance to shine through boutique hotels where creativity, authenticity and vision shape every detail. That philosophy sits very close to our hearts.

Riad Botanica was never designed to be a large hotel or a commercial concept. It was created as something far more personal a home, a sanctuary, and what we often call a Garden of the Soul in the heart of Marrakech.

From the very beginning, our intention was to create a space where:

• design tells a story
• craftsmanship is honoured
• nature is present
• and guests feel something real.

The article beautifully notes that the most compelling hotels are those where you can feel “the unmistakable hand of a single, eclectic visionary.” Thank you ever so much @marrrkfedeli for your comments “The duo has set out to create more of a home than a hotel, with just six guest rooms that draw influences from their respective homelands”.

Riad Botanica exists because of that spirit and because of the incredible Moroccan artisans, collaborators, and supporters who helped bring this vision to life.

We are deeply thankful to the editors at Michelin Guide and Tablet Hotels for recognising small, independent properties like ours and for continuing to celebrate boutique hospitality around the world.

And most importantly, thank you to our guests and community who fill this house with warmth, curiosity and kindness every day.
